Synopsis

Gng Hyo-jin and Shin Mina are teaming up as half-sisters in the upcoming film Sisters on the Road [지금, 이대로가 좋아요]. This could be interesting, as both ladies are among their generation’s more visible rising actresses (and fashionistas), having worked steadily and increased their profiles over the past several years in projects like Crush and Blush and The Naked Kitchen.

In the film, the two share the same mother, but because they have different fathers, the sisters have never cultivated a close bond. However, when their mother suddenly dies, they set off on a trip to locate the younger one’s (Shin) father, encountering unexpected obstacles, accidents, and the revelation of startling family histories as they unravel what it means to be family, and sisters

Synopsis:

Lee Gang Sik (Cha Seung-won) is serving a life sentence for murder. For the last 15 years, he has been on his best behavior, and now his wish has finally come true. Synopsis
Madeleine is a South Korean movie released in 2003. The story follows the lives of two girls living together and their separate love lives as they struggle to find and maintain their new relationships. The movie mainly focuses on pretty girl Lee Hee-Jin (Shin Min-a). Hee-Jin is a hair stylist working at a salon when she meets an old classmate from junior high school. Kang Ji-Suk (Jo In-Seong) meets up with Hee-Jin when he arrives at her salon for a hair cut. The pair ends up deciding to try dating for a month to see how things go. All goes well in the beginning until Ji-Suks first love shows up. Sung-Hae (Ham Eun-Jeong) invites Ji-Suk over to a reunion party with their old junior high school friends. Hee-Jin ends up tagging along. But she feels excluded and uncomfortable while Ji-Suk and Sung-Hae are hitting it off. At the reunion Hee-Jin finds out that Ji-Suk lied to Sung-Hae when he told her that he did not have a girlfriend. Hee-Jin gets angry at Ji-Suk and walks off on him. She soon finds out that she in pregnant with her ex-boyfriends child. But decides to have the baby anyway. Hee-Jin confesses to Ji-Suk the truth. He comes to slowly accept the news. But Hee-Jins roommate Yoo-Jung (Kang Rae-Yeon) tries to talk her out of having the baby. The two roommates get in a fight and Yoo-Jungs hidden jealousy comes out in the open. Meanwhile Yoo-Jung was struggling to capture the attention of men, Hee-Jins beauty always prevented her from getting a boyfriend. The two friends soon forget about their fight and decide to get along. Out of concern for her friend, Yoo-Jung decides to contact Hee-Jins ex-boyfriend. Hee-Jins ex shows up and demands her to get an abortion. But she refuses and lies that it wasnt his child. She ends up walking in the streets in the rain. But she falls sick and has to be rushed to the hospital. Hee-Jin later discovers that she had a miscarriage. Ji-Suk and Yoo-Jung stick with through the process. The film ends with Hee-Jin and Ji-Suk getting back together. And Yoo-Jung gets married to a coworker.

Sex Is Zero 2

Synopsis
Good-hearted Eun-sik is a law student who, driven by his hormones, is more preoccupied with checking out miniskirt-clad legs in the library than preparing for the state exam. Eun-sik seems doomed with bad luck, with unfortunate timing always labeling the innocent guy as a pervert. But mysterious workings of the universe give him one blessing. Summer Time (2001)

Synopsis
In the Good Old Summertime is a musical remake of the 1940 Ernst Lubitsch comedy The Shop Around the Corner, which in turn was based on a play by Miklos Laszlo. The locale has been changed from Hungary to Chicago, but the turn-of-century time frame and the plot remain the same. Van Johnson and Judy Garland play a couple of clerks in a sheet-music store who detest each other on sight. Both reserve their words of affection for their respective pen pals, whom they've never met. The audience, of course, is aware that Johnson is Garland's pen pal, and she his, but it's fun to anticipate the fireworks when the characters on screen make this discovery. Buster Keaton, then employed by MGM as a "comedy consultant," is provided with one of his best parts in years as the bumbling nephew of shop owner S.Z. Sakall. The songs sung in Summertime consist of period numbers like "I Don't Care", "Wait Till the Sun Shines, Nellie", and the title tune. This is the film in which 18-month-old Liza Minnelli (Garland's daughter) toddles into the closing number, though it is not her film debut, as has often been claimed: an even younger Minnelli popped up briefly in Garland's previous MGM musical Easter Parade.

The Host /Gwoemul (2006)

Synopsis

After a careless Morgue empties hundreds of bottles of formaldehyde into the sewers near Seoul's Han River, it gives birth to a terrifying mutant with a taste for blood. The Mutant abducts the daughter of Gang-du (Kang-ho Song). Thinking she is dead, the family mourns her loss; until they receive a late-night call from her cell phone. Knowing she is alive, they band together to find and rescue her from the mutant before it is too late.

Their attempts are thwarted by a paranoid Government, who is claiming that the mutant is "living biological warfare", after a Marine from the United States contracts a mysterious disease from coming in contact with the creature. Fearing another SARS incident, they seal off the area the mutant is known to patrol and quarantine anybody and everybody who has came in contact with the mutant - including Gang-du and his family - though no virus actually exists.

As the U.S Government bears down on South Korea in an attempt to contain the creature and the supposed "virus" it is carrying, Gang-du and his family break free to confront the monster head-on. However, in the midst of all of this, the American Government finally reaches the end of it's rope and carelessly unleashes "Agent Yellow", a dangerous and toxic gas the U.S. Military had been developing to help fight biological warfare. Though the U.S. Government assures it is safe to use, the people of Korea protest its use at the edge of the Han River where "Agent Yellow" will be unleashed - making them an easy target for the mutant.

Gang-du, his family, the mutant, and the government all confront one another in a dangerous battle that ends with both the monster - and Gang-Du's daughter - dead.

Windstruck 2004 [Korean].

Synopsis

The film stars Jun Ji-hyun as Officer Kyung-jin Yeo, an ambitious young female police officer serving on the Seoul police department. One day while chasing a purse snatcher, she accidentally captures Myung-woo Go (played by Jang Hyuk), a physics teacher at an all-girls school, who was actually trying to catch the thief. Later, Myung-woo discovers the stolen purse, but just as he picks it up, Kyung-jin spots him and tries to arrest him again. Kyung-jin is then given the job of escorting Myung-woo through a dangerous district, only to be distracted when she tries to break up a meeting between Russian Mafia and Korean gangsters. With Myung-woo handcuffed to her, Kyung-jin almost single-handedly brings down the two rival gangs (although she is helped when she accidentally causes the groups to start shooting at each other).
